[ Sept.2013 ] In Prague, we went to see ” Swan Lake ” at The State Opera.
What moved me most was the beauty of the theatre.
I had not had any knowledge about this theatre and when we entered, I was so surprised to see this gorgeous interior.
Apparently, it was built in 1888 for German people living in Prague who wanted to have their own theatre and raised fund privately.
So for a long time, it was called ‘German Theatre’.
The famous historical musicians like Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss and Otto Klemperer performed here.
I booked the tickets beforehand online.
They have very efficient system that they bring them to your hotel by one night before.
They showed the contact details clearly in case you needed to ask something, too, so I did not have to worry about booking.
This is a good aspect of becoming a major tourist city, I thought.
