[ July, 2014 ] From Zadar in Croatia, we went south to a town called Sibenik by bus.
It took a little more than one hour.
This town was founded by Croats not like other Dalmatian towns which Greeks or Romans built.
Come to think of it, the town looked somewhat different.
Zadar had the Italian atmosphere, but Sibenik reminded me of an inland town of Corsica called Corte.
However, this town was also occupied by Republic of Venice, Austria and Kingdom of Italy one after another like other Dalmatian towns.
And during the recent war in 1990s, they suffered a lot.
But now it seemed being recovering very well as a tourist destination.
By the way, the bus station in Zadar was quite far away from the old town.
We arrived there at last after asking the way to several people, but walking under the sun made me very tired.
So on the way back, we took taxi.
The fare was quite reasonable.
