[August, 2011] We looked for a restaurant recommended in our guide book for dinner in Thessaloniki in Greece.
But it was not there and a woman at kiosk told us it was closed down.
I suppose this is one of the evidences of economical crisis in this country.
So, we went to another restaurant, which a passersby recommended and this restaurant’s speciality was Giros.
I did not know what it was, so asked the waiter and when I got the answer, I said “it is same as Donner Kebab, isn’t it”.
The waiter gave a wry smile.
Greece is not very friendly with not only Macedonia but also with Turkey.
They call Turkish coffee Greek coffee….
