[ June, 2015 ] After we enjoyed the view from the East Hill in Hastings, in the south of England, we came down the slope on foot to the middle of the old town.
It is a very pretty place with old houses from the 16th to 19th century.
I noticed that many of the houses had steep roofs.
We walked past the residential area and came across the bustling area with many antique shops.
We found one area like a market in which they were selling odds and ends in Courthouse Street.
We just enjoyed looking around there without buying anything, but at the end of the street there was a stone shop where I did some shopping.
After that, we went to the main street in the old town of Hastings, called George Street.
This is a pedestrian street.
There were many small shops which were not chain stores and many cafes, too.
It had a very nice atmosphere.
