[ Sept.2014 ] In Hakodate in Hokkaido, Japan, they have a morning market near the station.
I looked up and found that this started in 1945 soon after the end of the WW2 by farmers who gathered here to sell their products.
Now it seemed there were more marine products than farm products.
Especially crabs.
Some years ago in the market in Busan in South Korea, I was surprised to see so many alive crabs being sold in tanks, but here, too, we saw exactly the same way of selling them.
And the crabs here were mostly large.
They can cook them on the spot and visitors eat their breakfast there.
Unfortunately we ate the similar dinner the night before and did not feel like eating them in the morning, so we just looked around.
