[ Feb.2016 ] We went to the Museo de Ballas Artes (Fine Arts Museum), too in Valencia in Spain.
This was founded in 1913 and there are about 2000 works here, mainly of the 14th – 17th century Spanish artists here.
There were famous artists’ works, such as Velazquez, Goya and El Greco, but my favourite was the one by Jose de Ribera who painted St. Sebastian.
This dark painting was on a red wall, which gave a strong impression.
Spanish paintings are often dark coloured, aren’t they.
It was Sunday, but not many visitors were there, so we could relax there.
Perhaps it was too relaxing.
I saw a member of staff sleeping with her mouth open.
