[December, 2011] This year I saw quite a few cave churches, in Macedonia, in Ukraine and now in Matera in south Italy.
When the Turkish Empire had a strong power, a lot of Christian monks must have hidden themselves away in caves in various lands.
Here we could see only a few Fresco pictures here and there, but it must have beenpainted all over the cave once like the one I saw in Macedonia.
