[ Jan.2016 ] We went to see the Piazzolla Tango Show in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The theatre was not very big, but had a very nice art deco style.
It was possible to have a dinner in the theatre before the show, but had our dinner elsewhere and we went there after eating.
In the orchestra stall, there were rows of tables, and when we went there many people were relaxed after their dinner.
Our seat was in a box just right hand side of the stage, which was good as we could see the performance very well and we were close enough to the stage to feel the closeness with the artists.
The show was completely dedicated to Astor Piazzolla, the greatest composer and musician of the modern tango.
He created a new style which everyone who likes this kind of music can recognise immediately.
The quality of the performance was impressive with great musicians, singers and dancers.
On top of that the acoustics of the theatre were very good.
Tango has a particular charm with the dramatic music and the sensual dance.
It is always danced in a couple.
Although the man guides the dance, neither of them dominates the other.
The 80 minutes passed very fast.
If we can come back to Buenos Aires, I will definitely go and see the tango again.
