[ Oct.2015 ] The next morning when we went out in Venice, we found that the Piazza San Marco was flooded.
There were passages made up of stools so that people could walk without getting wet.
The view of the reflections was amazing.
When the tide of the surrounding sea is high and water comes into the city, they call this phenomenon Acqua Alta.
This happens between autumn and spring, apparently.
The last time we visited Venice, the Acqua Alta was at a record high and I was very excited, but this time the sun was shining and the atmosphere was very calm.
The only problem was that because the passage was narrow, when I stopped and took some photos, I nearly got pushed over as there were so many tourists walking there.
