[ Apr.2013 ] Otranto in south Italy is a picturesque seaside town.
It has got a long history as a port town and there are things to see, too, like a ruin of castle and churches.
Also you can enjoy shopping there.
Naturally it is a popular place, but the day we went there was Pasquetta and the number of people walking around there was incredible.
The owner of our hotel called us early in the morning to advise us saying ‘you had better come in the morning otherwise you will not find a parking space’.
Pasquetta is the next day of Pasqua (Easter) and it is a holiday.
Italian people spend Pasqua with family, but Pasquetta is the day they enjoy going out with group of friends.
