[2022年4月]今回のブルガリア旅行、首都のソフィアは以前、ツアーで観光したことがあったので、あらためて観光するつもりはありませんでした。 でも公共の交通機関網の関係で、いちいちソフィアに戻って一泊しなければなりませんでした。 駅前のBest Western Terminusに泊まる で、泊ったのは中央駅やバスステーションに近いビジネスホテル、Best Western Terminus です。 駅から外に出ると、ただHOTELと大きく壁に書いてあるのが見えるのですが、そこでした。 プロヴディフから帰って、ここで一泊し、翌朝は、バスでメルニックに向かいます。 まずはバスステーションへ歩きました。 駅に近いバスステーションに辿り着きましたが、そこは海外便専用のバスステーションで、国内便のステーションは、もう少し先。 海外便バスステーションにたむろしていた人々は、本当～に貧し気でした。 国内便のバスステーションは立派 国内便の方はステーションそのものが、もう少し立派で、人々の様子も普通で、少しほっとしたことでした。 私がブルガリアを訪れたのは、これが3度目でしたが、前2回はツアーだったために見えなかったことの一つが、人々の貧しさです。 朝、ホテルの近所のATMまで歩いた時、道中、見かけた車は普通に立派なのですが、道行く人々はホームレスに毛が生えた程度の出で立ちでした。 まあ、駅の周辺は、欧州のどこでも危なっかしいというのが常識ではありますが。 さて、国内便バスステーションでは、Unionというバス会社の窓口に行って、前日ネットで予約していたバスのチケットを発行してもらいました。 そして、先の旅程のバス情報を尋ねたら、インフォーメーション・デスクで聞いてくれというので、そちらに行くと、いかにも東欧らしい係員が、いやいやながら、ぶつぶつと情報をくれました。 これに対して、私達のバスの運転手は、仕事を楽しんでやっている風の笑顔の人で、気分が明るくなりました。 この運転手の大型バスで、サンダンスキという町まで行きます。 ブルガリアにはたくさんあるガスプロムのガソリンスタンド 時刻通り、10時半に出発し、着いたのは13時半。 途中、トイレ休憩があり、停まったガソリンスタンドが、世界最大のロシアのガス会社、ガスプロムのスタンドでした。 この時点ですでに、ウクライナ対ロシアの戦争は始まっていましたが、こんなにロシアの資源に頼っているこの国、先々、大丈夫なのだろうかと危ぶんだことでした。 サンダンスキに無事、着き、そこからはバスの時間が合わなかったので、タクシーに乗りました。 運転手は、爪を長く伸ばしたつっけんどんな女性。 ひっきりなしに2台の携帯電話で話していました。…
