[ Feb.2015 ] This is a square called Pavaglione in Lugo, a town in Emilia Romagna in Italy.
The length is 131 – 133 metres and the width is 82 metres and it is surrounded by portico with shops.
Originally it was built in 1570 for a silkwarm market.
The current buildings were built in the late 18th century.
Even now they have some regular markets here and in summer they hold some music festivals and so on, though when we were there in the early afternoon, the place was deserted.
The portico was beautiful and we enjoyed taling photos of it.
